Advocacy

We are dedicated to advocating against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and all forms of gender-based violence. Our work is rooted in the belief that everyone has the right to live free from harm, and we actively engage with local communities, government bodies, and international organizations to push for legal and cultural changes. By collaborating with local Anti-FGM champions, we educate families and communities about the long-term harm of such practices and provide alternatives through our programs. Our commitment also extends to gender inclusivity, ensuring that our advocacy work embraces the rights of marginalized groups.

Women Empowerment

Financial independence is one of the most powerful tools for empowering women and breaking the cycle of gender-based violence and discrimination. Our shelter-restaurants and other projects serve as hubs for women to gain practical skills in professional cooking, entrepreneurship, and leadership. These initiatives help women become self-sufficient and provide them with the resources they need to support themselves and their families. By giving women the ability to generate their own income, we equip them with the freedom to make decisions about their own lives, reducing their vulnerability to violence and coercion.

Training and Mentorship

Our training and mentorship programs focus on equipping women and girls with practical and leadership skills that they can apply to both their personal and professional lives. Through workshops, peer-to-peer mentoring, and professional training in areas such as restaurant management and entrepreneurship, we aim to foster a community of skilled women who can support each other and become role models for the next generation. Our belief is that sustainable empowerment comes from not just skills, but from having the confidence and knowledge to use those skills effectively.

Leadership

Leadership development is a key part of our work. We encourage women to take on leadership roles within their communities and become advocates for change. Climate Change Mitigation Action

We understand that climate change disproportionately affects women and vulnerable communities. That’s why we integrate climate change mitigation into our projects. Whether through sustainable construction of our shelter-restaurants using eco-friendly materials, the implementation of solar panels, or water conservation through filtration and storage systems, our work addresses environmental sustainability.

Additionally, we contribute to climate action by establishing tree nurseries that cultivate local indigenous plants. This initiative not only empowers women economically but also aligns with local government efforts toward reforestation. By supporting the restoration of natural ecosystems, we help mitigate climate change, promote biodiversity, and ensure the sustainable use of natural resources in the communities where we work. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is an integral part of our holistic approach to empowering women and fostering community resilience.
